La Dulce Vida Arabians is very proud to announce our affiliation with Salayel Arabians in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Our goal is to produce the ethereal Egyptian horse, to preserve these
wonderful bloodlines and to carry them forth throughout the centuries.
With our combined efforts, we plan to select the best of these bloodlines to introduce to the USA and export to the Middle East. Our desires are endless and our passion is great.  We wish to produce a beautiful show horse that can be a loving, trusting companion with the courage and the spirit of the Bedouin Arabian horse. The end result is to the have best of traits and bloodlines.  We do this with great excitement, as our passion is the preservation of the beautiful and intelligent horse, the Straight Egyptian Arabian. We can only hope to contribute to their preservation
throughout the world.

LA Dulce Vida Arabians and Salayel Arabians welcome
“The Elegant Star”

Al Azraff Suhail PG
(Suhail Al Nasser x Alidaarlin by Alidar)
“The Elegant Star”

La Dulce Vida Arabians and Salayel Arabians, welcome this wonderful stallion to our breeding programs! Salayel Arabians, owner of Al Azraff Suhail PG, is very proud to have the opportunity to add this outstanding stallion to their breeding program.

We thank Bridgette Orwig, breeder and owner of Pure Gold Arabians, for giving us the opportunity to introduce this beautiful stallion to both of our continents.

Our plans are great, as Al Azraff Suhail PG will be bred to some of the finest Egyptian mares in the USA.

Salayel Arabians will be exporting mares in foal to Al Azraff Suhail PG to
their stud in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he will make his home and his mark as a breeding and show stallion.

Only shown twice in his life, once as a yearling at the Egyptian Event, he was crowned Champion Futurity Yearling Colt and now at the 2010 Egyptian Event, in a highly competitive class of 17 stallions, Al Azraff Suhail PG was the Four and Five Year Old World Class Reserve Champion Stallion, shown and trained by Steve Dady of Omni Arabians.

Sired by the beautiful Suhal Al Nasser and out of the world famous mare Alidaarlin, Al Azraff Suhail PG’s pedigree is packed with world-class individuals.

Al Azraff Suhail PG, translates to “The Elegant Star”, and elegant he is indeed. Abeyyan Om Jurays in strain, this is very evident in the physical characteristics of this stallion. In Judith Forbis’s “Authentic Arabian Bloodstock” she describes the Abeyyan strain thus: “Very showy like Saklawi, somewhat longer back. Elegance personified. Extreme tail carriage”

Al Azraff Suhail PG’s dam, Alidaarlin is one of the most intensely line bred, Abeyyan mares in the world today. Sired by the national and international champion Alidaar, full brother to Ruminaja Ali and senior herd sire at Al Rayyan Stud, in Qatar and out of the beautiful Nagda, dam of multiple champions and now making her home at Al-Nakeeb Arabians, in the United Kingdom. Both Nagda’s sire and dam trace tail-female to Magidaa. Hence three out of four dam lines in Alidaarlin’s pedigree trace to Magidaa, the fourth being, a no less stellar dam line, in that of Bint Maisa El Saghira.

Al Azraff Suhail PG’s sire Suhal Al Nasser, came to the United States as a two year old, from the renowned Al Nasser stud in Qatar, where he “wowed” the crowds with his beauty and fire. Sired by the Middle Eastern phenomenon Ashhal Al Rayyan, herd sire at Al Rayyan Stud, in Qatar and out of the mare Konouz. Suhail Al Nasser carried the blood of three of the greatest straight Egyptian breeding programs in the world. Dr. Nagel’s Katherinenhof Stud through Salaa El Dine, Ansata Egyptian Stud through Ansata Halim Shah and Ansata Malika and Imperial Egyptian Stud through Imperial Mahzeer and Imperial Kaliya.

Al Azraff Suhail PG is a near perfect reflection of his pedigree, ethereal beauty and movement from his sire, and stretch and elegance from his dam.  Tragically, his sire, Suhail Al Nasser’s breeding career was cut very short, with the result that Al Azraff Suhail PG is one of only two stallions of this bloodline in the world today. With very limited breedings, so far, his foals have been exciting reflections of this international pedigree. Al Azraff Suhail PG will be bred to a select group of mares in 2010/2011 and we await the resulting foals with great excitement and anticipation.

Grand Cayman Island Welcomes!

The first two straight Egyptian Arabians to the Island
Tamarah LDV and Al Farhan PG.

The Island is buzzing with the arrival of the first two straight Egyptian Arabians.

We are so happy that Mr. Robert Watler and Roy Jackson have decided to begin the first Straight Egyptian program on the Island. Mr. Jackson a long time horse lover wanted to introduce the straight Egyptian to the Island.

The incredible heritage, beauty, intelligence of the breed motivated Mr. Jackson to begin his breeding program.

Al Farhan PG is sired by the Egyptian Event Supreme Champion Stallion Farid Nile Moon and bred by Pure Gold Arabians. Tamarah LDV is a 7 year old mare sired by an Egyptian Event Supreme Champion Stallion and her dam is an Ibn Morafic daughter. Tamarah LDV is in foal to AF Cassidy for 2010.

We are happy to say the horses love the Island and the beach! Only one week after there arrival to the island, Al Farhan was introduced To Spotts Beach Cayman Island.

To everyone’s amazement al Farhan a 4 year old breeding stallion was lead into the ocean by Mr. Jackson without a saddle and a bit. Al Farhan enjoyed the beach as if he had been born and raised on the island.

Al Farhan was the talk of the beach and Mr. Jackson was so happy He couldn’t stop smiling, and thought to himself straight Egyptian or Seahorse?

Al Farhan is a great ambassador for the straight Egyptian breed demonstrating the beauty, loyalty and intelligence of the straight Egyptian horse.

We wish Mr. Jackson and Mr. Watler all the luck and success on their breeding program. And we are so very happy that Al Farhan and Tammy are enjoying their new Island home.

The Islanders are asking straight Egyptians or a seahorse?

Milenah
(Imtaarif x Millennium MGR)

Congratulations Jen, of Nadira Stables in California on the acquisition of the exotic Milenah. This exquisite mare has the pedigree of champions. Her sire is an Egyptian Event Supreme Champion Stallion, her dam is a Prince El Hilal daughter. We are very excited that Milenah will be one of the first ladies to be bred to Sharif Emir PG, for a 2010 foal.

La Dulce Vida is very excited about this wonderful cross and wish Nadira Stables all the best!

La Dulce Vida Welcomes Sharif Emir PG

(Ansata Nile Emir x Kuy Shaihnya)

Sharif Emir PG, is Arabic for “noble prince” a perfect name for this extravagantly beautiful young horse. Sired by Ansata Nile Emir, he carries the most desirable sire line in the world of straight Egyptian Arabians - Ansata Halim Shah. A culmination of years of work by master breeder Judith Forbis, Ansata Halim Shah has left his indelible mark on the world stage. A U.S.National Top Ten Futurity stallion, and Reserve Junior World Champion at the Salon du Cheval, Paris. It was, however in the breeding shed that Ansata Halim Shah would really take the world by storm. Sire of world renowned stallions Salaa El Din, Safir, El Thay Mansour, Ansata Hejazi and Al Adeed Al Shaqab, as well as beautiful mares such as Nile Allure, Ansata Majesta, Ansata Sekhmet, and Aisha. However, a stallion, it is said, is only as good as his dam. Ansata Nile Emir’s dam, Ansata Nile Charm, is from the most highly prized of Ansata Arabian Stud’s female lines, that of Falima, fountainhead of the Nile line. The recurrence of the Nile line in the world’s great Egyptian Arabian horses is remarkable and an ongoing testament to the strength of this enduring blood.

On his female side, Sharif Emir PG, embodies the strength of a great dam line. Sharif Emir’s dam, Kuy Shaihnya, is herself a show champion, but it is as a broodmare that she has truly shown her worth. Dam of Sahara PG, multi Top Tens at the Egyptian Event, and Sharjah PG, EBC Champion both exported to Israel and Shaheerah PG a beautiful young mare exported to Kuwait. Sired by a three-quarter brother to Ruminaja Ali, Kuy Shaihnya carries the blood of many of the great U.S. Egyptian Arabians, Shaikh Al Badi, Ibn Moniet El Nefous, Sakr, Magidaa, Nabiel and Ansata Ibn Halima. Saklawiya Jedraniyah Ibn Sudan in strain, Kuy Shaihnya’s tail female traces to Medallela granddam of the “Queen of the Nile” Moniet El Nefous.

With such a remarkable heritage, it is not surprising that Sharif Emir PG exhibits such elegance, refinement and spell binding presence. Nobel Prince, is indeed the perfect name for this star of the future.

Thank You Pure Gold Arabians for the wonderful opportunity to entrust us with this wonderful colt.  Please look for him at Omni Arabians.

His Journey now begins!
